What's the talk about?
Volcanoes in Iceland have recently been in the public eye, disrupting flights across Europe. This talk will look at the origin of those volcanoes, and also show how some clues to Iceland’s volcanic past can actually be found in Scotland.
The talk will start promptly at 8pm. This is presented as part of the Edinburgh International Science Fesitval.
Dr Kathryn Goodenough works at the British Geological Survey and is co-author to " A Geological Excursion Guide to the North West Highlands of Scotland" covering one of most historically important geological regions in the UK.
